Firework – Katy Perry

Firework-KatyPerryWhen I first really listened to this song, “Firework,” performed by Katy Perry off of her Teenage Dream album, it brought tears to my eyes. Here’s the first verse and chorus:

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting through the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there’s still a chance for you
Cause there’s a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you’re a firework
Come on show ’em what you’re worth
Make ’em go “Oh, oh, oh!”
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you’re a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make ’em go “Oh, oh, oh!”
You’re gunna leave ’em fallin’ down-own-own

I so believe the words of this song. We all have that spark. We just have to let it burst into its brilliance.

Turn this one up and belt it out. Singing this song is going to help you find that spark and maybe even ignite it.
