“There are only two ways to live your life.  One is as though nothing is a miracle.  The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

–       Albert Einstein

Leah Carey has choosen to live her life to the latter and so have I.  I thought I’d share a few of my own miracles with you:

Found $20 in my jeans pocket, the day after I just gave $10 to a homeless guy.  The crazy thing was I didn’t mean to give him a ten.  I thought I grabbed a single.  As I was handing it to him I realized that it was a ten.  He was so grateful that I couldn’t say “Sorry, buddy. Meant to give you a single.”

My husband, Bill and I were driving at night in a bad snow storm to make a funeral in the morning.  We were tired and sad but we had to keep driving.  I noticed Bill was white knuckling the steering wheel, so I thought I’d try a little small talk.  Just prior to hopping in the car, we were at a dinner for the high school ice hockey team that Bill coached and one of the gifts he got from the team was a St. Christopher’s medal.  I commented to Bill that with all the traveling he did for the team and with St. Christopher being the patron saint of travel what a thoughtful gift it was from the team.  Now I swear to God or whomever you would like me to, that once I said that, it was like a force field was placed over our windshield.  The heavy snow parted as we drove and Bill was able to turn off the wipers.  We looked at each other, slightly freaked out but grateful.

Migrating birds.  As I am typing this, it’s getting cold here in New Jersey and I can see the V-shaped formation of Canadian Geese heading south for the winter.  I was a science major in college, I know there are scientific “reasons” to why the birds migrate, but the amazement and awe I experience when I see it sure does feel miraculous to me.

Hop over to Leah’s site to read another one.

I think Einstein and Leah have it right.  It all is about perspective and choice.  What choice will you make?
