I recently had the chance to check out a cute little book called Positive Vibes: Inspiring Thoughts for Change and Inspiration. Being an aspiring writer, I normally wouldn’t call anyone’s book “little,” but the author Gordon Smith does, so I figured I could too. Though described as little, this book was written to have enormous impact on your mood.
Gordon, a world-renowned medium, has used the power of positivity to help him through adversity. As he states in the introduction, he wrote this book to “inspire you and help you to connect to your inner spirit and move forward, whatever is happening in your life.”
The book is broken down into seven chapters focusing on different life themes. Beginnings, Love, Change and Happiness are just a few examples of chapter themes. Within each chapter, Gordon then offers the reader an inspirational phrase, affirmation or lesson to ponder to get and keep those positive vibes flowing.

Beginnings Chapter: Spring isn’t the time to worry about how others are growing but to be sure of your own direction and prepare for the s
ummer that follows.
Happiness Chapter: No matter what chaos is going on around you, this can still be a beautiful day if you tell yourself it is. Telling yourself the day is beautiful gives new life to possibilities.
This is a great book to keep on your nightstand or in your desk at work. Reach for it when you feel you need a dose of positivity. Just close your eyes and let your soul pick the page. I bet it’s just the thing you needed to read.
